Sheriff's Seek Highland Park Tagging Suspect
Officers from the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department and the Los Angeles Police Department are on the lookout for an alleged graffiti tagger who makes his home in Highland Park.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department is on the lookout for a prominent graffiti tagger, who they believe makes his residence in Highland Park.
A search warrant conducted last Wednesday by detectives from the Sheriff's Department's transit services bureau turned up several boxes of evidence at the Oleander Avenue residence of 28-year-old Tomas Benson, an alleged tagger wanted for questioning in connection with vandalism damage in excess of $8,000 to city and transit authority property.
According to the Sheriff's Department, Benson--who goes by the moniker "RUETS"--is a prolific tagger with alleged connections to several major crews, including; AL (At Large), PDB (Pros Don't Boast) and NE (Northeast).

An alert released by the Sheriff's Department on Monday stated that the evidence turned up at Benson's home confirmed not only his residence in Highland Park, but also his connection to tagging.
The Sheriff's Department has asked for the community's support in bringing Benson in and asks that anyone with information about his whereabouts call (888) 950-7233 for LASD response 24 hours a day.
