• Safer Roadway and Upgraded Pedestrian Access Awaits Travelers Along El Camino Real in San Mateo County (ca.gov) — Hillsborough drivers and pedestrians will soon see major safety and accessibility upgrades along El Camino Real as Caltrans launches a $173 million, multi-year renewal of State Route 82 through Burlingame, Hillsborough, San Mateo, and Millbrae. Expect improved lighting, drainage, ADA-compliant sidewalks and curb ramps, and replacement of aging eucalyptus trees with more than 300 new plantings to preserve the historic corridor’s character. 
• Aikey, Nguyen Highlight Best XI Selections (gostanford.com) — A Hillsborough native, Stanford forward Andrea Kitahata, played a key role in a standout season that saw seven Cardinal women’s soccer players named to TopDrawerSoccer’s Best XI teams. Kitahata finished second on the team with 44 points, while teammates Jasmine Aikey and Y-Lan Nguyen captured national Player and Freshman of the Year honors, underscoring a dominant year for local college talent.
