HOLLYWOOD, CA — Two hikers were airlifted from trails in two separate incidents in the Hollywood Hills Saturday, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.

In the first incident, a 44-year-old man was recused from near the Wonder View Trail at around 10:30 a.m. after suffering a ground-level fall. An LAFD helicopter hoisted him and transported him via air to a local hospital, according to firefighters.

About two hours later, a 40-year-old man in "mild-to-medium medical distress" was rescued from a remote area of Runyon Canyon. He was hoisted by helicopter and transported by air to a local hospital for further evaluation, firefighters said.
