Moviegoers came to theaters in droves as "Avengers: Infinity War" surpassed โStar Wars: The Force Awakensโ as the largest opening box office weekend ever. โDeadpool 2โ โ Ryan Reynolds, Josh Brolin, directed by David Leitch
Ryan Reynolds returns as the โmerc with a mouthโ after his original "Deadpool" film made a whopping $718 million at the box office in 2015. This time around, his shenanigans include pole dancing in a wig and high heels, as well as picking up some new skills from X-men.
The R-rated superhero movie also features Josh Brolin as a mighty villain for the second time this year (following his previous evil role in โAvengers: Infinity Warโ).

โSolo: A Star Wars Storyโ โ Alden Ehrenreich, Thandie Newton, directed by Ron Howard
Our favorite space pirate made famous by Harrison Ford finally gets his very own film, which stars Alden Ehrenreich in the titular role as Hans Solo. Directed by Ron Howard, the new โStar Warsโ movie portrays the early adventures of the free-spirited smuggler before joining the Rebellion, including encounters with his future copilot Chewbacca (Joonas Suotamo) and space rogue Lando Calrissian (Donald Glover).

โOceanโs 8โ โ Sandra Bullock, Cate Blanchett, directed by Gary Ross
In this spin-off of the โOceanโs Elevenโ franchise, Debbie Ocean (Sandra Bullock), the estranged sister of Danny Ocean (played by George Clooney in the previous Oceanโs films), masterminds a major heist with the help of her bestie, Lou Miller (Cate Blanchett).
Together, the two partners-in-crime assemble a team of eight women, who attempt to pull off the heist of the century. Their target? A $150 million diamond necklace that will debut at the prestigious Met Gala in New York City. Expect some of the stars from the Oceanโs trilogy to make cameo appearances in the new female-driven film.

"Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom" โ Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, directed by J. A. Bayona
The โJurassic Worldโ action-adventure series is back for another round of wonder, adventure and thrills with the return of familiar favorite characters and dinosaurs.
Set four years after the catastrophic events of the first film, the saga continues with Jurassic World destroyed and Isla Nublar abandoned by humans and overtaken by dinosaurs. Amid the threat of volcanic eruption, raptor expert Owen Grady (Chris Pratt) and his partner-in-crime Claire Dearing (Bryce Dallas Howard) will attempt to save the remaining dinosaurs roaming freely in the wild. Jeff Goldblum will reprise his iconic role Ian Malcolm.

โAnt-Man and the Waspโ โ Paul Rudd, Evangeline Lilly, directed by Peyton Reed
Paul Rudd and director Peyton Reed reunite in the sequel to their 2015 โAnt-Man.โ The new film centers around Ant-Man (Rudd), who embarks on a mission to uncover secrets from the past. Joining him in the adventure is Hope van Dyne as the new superhero, the Wasp (Evangeline Lilly). We expect the latest installment to be funny, clever and exciting with an in-depth look into the Wasp's backstory.

โMission: Impossible - Fall Outโ (July 27) โ Tom Cruise, Rebecca Ferguson, directed by Christopher McQuarrie
Tom Cruise returns to his iconic role as secret agent Ethan Hunt in the sixth installment of the "Mission Impossible" franchise. The new film follows agent Hunt, his IMF Team and allies as they race against time to prevent global catastrophe after a mission goes awry. Joining Cruise in the franchise is "Superman" actor Henry Cavill as formidable CIA Agent August Walker.
