8-Story Apartment Building Approved Near Hollywood And Western
Several single-family homes and existing apartment buildings will be demolished to make way for a new eight-story building.

HOLLYWOOD, CA — A new eight-story apartment building is set to rise near Hollywood Boulevard and Western Avenue, according to a report.
The city Planning Commission on May 8 approved the plan from ROM Investments to redevelop a site located at 5416-5430 W. Carlton Way, located immediately south of Hollywood and Western, Urbanize LA reported.
The plan calls for the construction of an eight-story building featuring 131 studio, one-, and two-bedroom apartments, along with an underground parking garage for 148 vehicles, city documents show.

As part of density bonus incentives the developer qualifies for, 17 of the apartments will be reserved for low- and very-low income people.
Existing 16-unit and four-unit apartment buildings, three single-family homes and a duplex that are currently on the site will be demolished, according to documents.
