Car Crashes Into Los Feliz Bar, Injuring 1 Person

LOS ANGELES, CA — At least one person inside a Los Feliz bar was injured when an SUV crashed into the building Thursday night, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.

The crash occurred before 10:30 p.m. on Hyperion Avenue, just south of Griffith Park Boulevard, when a car crashed into The Friend bar.

Bar patron Stephanie Ferrer told Key News Network that she was outside with her friend when the vehicle crashed just a few feet away from them.

"We saw this car ... swerve super fast," she said. "And then he drove right into the club entrance."

Ferrer told a videographer that the vehicle hit a woman who was inside the bar and the woman was taken away in an ambulance.

Video from the scene shows the aftermath of the crash. The SUV is shown up on the sidewalk and halfway inside the building, having crashed through the exterior windowed wall.
