Criminal Charges Filed Against TikTok Coronavirus Party Hosts
City Attorney Mike Feuer said Bryce Hall and Blake Grey held two parties within a week of each other at a Hollywood Hills house.
HOLLYWOOD HILLS, CA — Los Angeles City Attorney Mike Feuer charged two TikTok stars with one count of causing a public nuisance on Friday afternoon. Bryce Hall and Blake Gray, influencers who hosted two large parties at a rental house in the Hollywood Hills, are set to be arraigned on September 11.
Feuer said the two personalities hosted two parties within a week of each other and received an initial citation on August 8. Police returned to the same house on August 14 and found several hundred people at the party.
According to Feuer, Gray admitted he was aware of the prior citation when police returned the second time.

"If you have a combined 19 million followers on TikTok in the middle of a public health crisis, you should be modeling great behavior, best practices for all of us rather than brazenly violating the law and then posting videos about it as we allege happened here," Feuer said.
On August 19, Mayor Garcetti authorized the Los Angeles Department of Water & Power to shut off utilities at the home.

City officials and private companies have been increasing the pressure on pandemic house parties as they look to limit the spread of the coronavirus. On Monday, Airbnb purged at least 50 listings in Los Angeles County for violating the companies newfound global ban on parties.
According to the City Attorney's Office, people who flaunt the "Safer LA" order can spend up to a year in jail and face as much as $2,000 in fines.
