Firefighter Injured In Blaze At Vacant Building In Hollywood
A firefighter sustained non-life-threatening injuries in a blaze that overtook a vacant two-story commercial building in Hollywood Monday.
HOLLYWOOD, CA — A firefighter sustained non-life-threatening injuries in a blaze that overtook a vacant two-story commercial building in Hollywood Monday morning, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
The fire department received a report of fire showing at the building at 6844 W. Sunset Blvd at about 11:15 a.m. When firefighters arrived, they found fire in one room on the first floor and immediately went on the offensive.
It took 30 firefighters 21 minutes to extinguish the flames and one firefighter was transported to a local hospital for treatment of non-fatal injuries, according to department spokesperson Nicholas Prange.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation, Prange said.
