Hollywood Hills Mountain Lion Kills Leashed Dog: Report
A mountain lion, believed to be P-22, killed a leashed dog in a residential area as it was out for a walk.
HOLLYWOOD, CA — A mountain lion reportedly attacked and killed a dog that was being walked on a leash in the Hollywood Hills, according to KTLA.
The attack unfolded in the early evening hours in a residential neighborhood and was possibly linked to P-22, an 11-year-old mountain lion that lives around Griffith Park. Animal authorities have not confirmed the identity of the lion.
"I felt the tug and I heard Piper squeal," a man who was walking the dog told KTLA. The dog walker told KTLA he wishes to remain anonymous.
