HOLLYWOOD HILLS, CA — A massive tree fell onto an apartment building in Hollywood Hills, resulting in power outages and forcing residents to evacuate, according to reports.

The tree toppled over around 4:30 a.m. Wednesday on the 2000 block of North Ivar Avenue, multiple media outlets reported.

The tree hit a power pole and multiple parked cars, KABC reported.

Sixteen apartment units evacuated as a precaution, KTTV reported. No injuries were reported.

"This is unusual... there was no rain, no wind, so it was very unexpected," the owner of the apartment building owner told the TV station.

Video taken at the building showed the large tree landed on a corner of the building as well as power lines and several parked cars.

Investigators will have to evaluate the building's structural integrity before residents can return, KNBC reported.
