Rain Storm Moves Through Hollywood

Expect some more rain, cloudy skies and highs in the 60s Thursday.

A storm moving through Los Angeles dropped about a half-inch of rain on Hollywood overnight, and after a brief break in the clouds more rain was falling Thursday morning.

There were no reports of major damage due to the rain. 

The Hollywood Reservoir received 0.47 of an inch of rain within a 24-hour period, according to a Los Angeles County rain gauge. See countywide totals here.

The National Weather Service says you can expect:

Today: Scattered showers before 11 a.m. Partly sunny, with a high near 65. Calm wind becoming southwest between 5 and 10 mph. Winds could gust as high as 15 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40 percent.

Tonight: Partly cloudy, with a low around 54. Southwest wind between 5 and 10 mph becoming calm. Winds could gust as high as 15 mph.
