HOLLYWOOD, CA — Two French bulldogs owned by singer Lady Gaga were stolen in Hollywood on Wednesday night, during a shooting that left her dog walker, Ryan Fischer, wounded. The shooting took place around 9:40 p.m. near 1500 N. Sierra Bonita Ave., according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

Police said two suspects jumped out of a white Nissan Altima as Fischer was walking three French bulldogs along Sierra Bonita Avenue. The two demanded Fischer turn over the dogs at gun point, and as a struggle ensued, Fischer was shot one time. The suspects then took two of the three dogs, and fled the scene.

Fischer remains at a hospital in stable condition and is expected to make a full recovery. The third dog ran away during the struggle and was later retrieved by Gaga's bodyguard.

Gaga announced in 2016 that she had adopted a new puppy, who she would later name Gustav.

"I chose him last moment because my best friend since I was 4. Bo O'Connor Chef extraordinaire of The Pomeroy NYC bought him, we didn't want them to be separated!" she said at the time.
