Lenny Kravitz To Deliver In Memoriam Performance At 2023 Oscars
The four-time Grammy award winning performer has recorded 11 studio albums and appeared in numerous films.

HOLLYWOOD, CA — Musician Lenny Kravitz has been selected to deliver the In Memoriam performance at the 95th Academy Awards ceremony, The Academy of Motion Pictures said Monday morning.
The announcement was made by executive producers and showrunners Glenn Weiss and Ricky Kirshner and executive producer Molly McNearney.
The Grammy award winning performer has recorded 11 studio albums and has appeared in films such as "The Hunger Games: Catching Fire," "LeeDaniels, The Butler" and "Precious."

Kravitz has won four Grammy awards and has a three-decades long career in music and film, according to his biography on the Internet Movie Database website.
According to the Academy, more than 200 filmmakers, artists and executives will be memorialized in an extended photo gallery on A.frame, the Academy's digital magazine.

Other performers for the event include actress and singer Sofia Carson, accompanied by songwriter Diane Warren, Stephanie Hsu, David Byrne and Son Lux, Rahul Sipligunj and Kaala Bhairava and Rihanna fresh off her Super Bowl LVII halftime performance.
The 95th Oscars award ceremony will be hosted by Jimmy Kimmel and will be broadcast live from The Dolby Theatre at Ovation Hollywood on ABC on Sunday, March 12, at 5 p.m.
