Magic Castle Announces Reopening Date After 15-Month Hiatus
The private magic clubhouse has been closed for over a year.

HOLLYWOOD, CA — Magic Castle will finally reopen this month after being closed for over a year due to the pandemic. The Academy of Magical Arts announced the private magician clubhouse will reopen on May 21, after previously closing on March 15, 2020.
The club will be open Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings for members and invited guests at reduced capacity. Guest passes will not be allowed during the initial reopening, in order to give members the best chance to enter the castle, officials said.
"The Academy of Magical Arts is thrilled to announce that—after 14 long months—the Magic Castle clubhouse will reopen our doors on May 21st to our members for dinner and whatever entertainment the State/County will allow. And, in June, we will resume reservations for non-members with valid invitations."

The Dine & Delight to-go dining program will continue on Wednesdays and Thursdays. Magic shows will initially be shown in showrooms through recorded broadcast, while outdoor live entertainment and eventual indoor live entertainment will return as coronavirus guidelines allow.
"We are thrilled to take the initial step of reopening our doors and welcoming our members back to their magical clubhouse," said Randy Sinnott, Jr., president of the AMA's board of directors. "As COVID restrictions decrease in the coming weeks and months, the club will continue to carefully and responsibly expand operations to the extent possible and begin to accept guest passes as we bring magic back to the lives of Angelenos."
