Man Attacked Last Month While Riding Motorized Scooter Dies Today
Detectives are putting out a call for help in tracking down his killer.

A man who was attacked while riding a motorized scooter in Hollywood died today of his injuries, and Los Angeles police detectives put out a call for help in tracking down his killer.
The attack occurred near Hollywood Boulevard and Highland Avenue on Sept. 21 about 12:40 a.m. as Louie Rodriguez was riding away from the annual Sunset Strip Music Festival, according to West Bureau homicide detectives.
The suspect approached Rodriguez and punched the 54-year-old victim, causing him to fall backward and hit his head. The motive for the attack is unknown.

The suspect, who fled on foot, was described as Hispanic, 23 years old and 6 feet tall, with a lean build and ear expanders in both ears.
