An Evening at the Yamashiro Farmers Market
Hollywood Patch Editor Lindsey Baguio meets people enjoying the weekly event.
With an incredible view, delicious eats and live music, Yamashiro Farmers Market has to be one of my favorite things to do during the summer season.
Combine that with what I love most about my job, meeting readers, I couldn't ask for a better Thursday evening. Hollywood Patch spent some time at the market passing out swag and sharing the good word about our website.
I met our Facebook fan TeeJay, a Hollywood resident who shared that she was hooked to our Arson coverage at the start of the new year. She was visiting the East Coast and monitored our Facebook page for updates.

She introduced her friend, Brad as someone who just moved into Hollywood. (Welcome to the neighborhood, Brad!) I signed him up for our daily newsletter and breaking news updates, critical for anyone who wants to keep up with the pulse of the community. If you haven't signed up yet, click here.
I also had the pleasure of meeting Terri Tilton, a board member of the Hollywood Police Activities League. She showed off pictures of her beautiful pup, Pouchette. Expect to hear more about her in an upcoming post. This dog is so Hollywood and we'll explain why.

For dinner, I made sure to order some of Yamashiro Grill's sliders. For the last couple years they've been known for their tacos, but they changed it up this season with the sliders. The Alaskan crab and the classic cheeseburger were great little bites with a side of the shiso ranch dressing. (If you're missing the tacos, head to Hollywood & Highland Center. Komida is now home to Yamashiro's renowned tacos!)
Thanks to market organizer, Nick Spano, for making room at the market's information booth for us. He just started up The Autry Farmers Market on Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. and it sounds like it's off to a good start. Swing by if you're in the neighborhood!
