Movies Out This Weekend: 'Black Panther,' 'Early Man' And More
What's the verdict on the latest Marvel movie? Plus, Eddie Redmayne and Tom Hiddleston face off in an animated family film.

This weekend, the highly anticipated action film โBlack Pantherโ finally hits theaters. The latest Marvel flick stars Chadwick Boseman as the superhero with the vibranium suit. Joining him in the origin movie are Michael B. Jordan and Lupita Nyongโo, who play the superheroโs nemesis and old paramour, respectively.
Also opening this weekend is the tale of โSamson,โ the Biblical figure with supernatural strength.
Meanwhile, the whole family can check out โEarly Man,โ a stop-motion animated film in which Eddie Redmayne plays a pre-historic caveman who saves the day for his small tribe.

The superhero who hails from the Kingdom of Wakanda finally gets his first solo film. Chadwick Bosemanโs character TโChalla โ also known as Black Panther โ assumes the leadership of the African nation after his father is killed. See it. With electrifying performances, beautiful costume and production designs, graceful cinematography, and Ryan Coogler's well-thought-out direction, "Black Panther" elevates superhero movies to new heights.

โEarly Manโ โ Eddie Redmayne, Tom Hiddleston, Maisie Williams, directed by Nick Park
Set in pre-historic times, this stop-animation film tells the story of Dug (voiced by Eddie Redmayne), a caveman who saves his small tribe's quiet valley from villainous invaders led by Lord Nooth (Tom Hiddleston). How do they settle the score? With an epic game of football! Well, soccer for us Americans. Will Dugโs team of underdogs be able to win the game and reclaim their home?
See it. Nick Parkโs latest is a wonderful film, even if it doesn't contain quite the same excitement as previous films like โShaun the Sheep Movie,โ โThe Pirates! Band of Misfits,โ and โWallace and Gromit.โ

โSamsonโ โ Taylor James, Caitlin Leahy, Jackson Rathbone, directed by Bruce Macdonald and Gabriel Sabloff
The story of Samson (Taylor James), a popular Biblical figure known for his immense strength, comes alive on the big screen, chronicling his life from his humble beginnings to his eventual demise with an in-depth look at his humanity.
The parable's plot unfolds in captivating fashion as Samson acquires his grit and and combat skills โ including the source of his super-human strength, which is his long hair. The movie also portrays how he gets betrayed by his love, Delilah (Caitlin Leahy).
See it. The film is well-acted, anchored by its commanding cinematography.
