Charlize Theron reunites with her โYoung Adultโ director in this comedy-drama about the trials and tribulations of motherhood and oneโs quest for identity.
In the movie, Theron plays Marlo, an overwrought housewife who is grappling with the burden of caring for her newborn baby. Feeling emotionally drained, she reluctantly accepts a generous offer from her wealthy brother Craig (Mark Duplass) to pay for the services of a night nanny named Tully (Davis).
At first, Marlo is uncomfortable with the 26-year-old helper. However, as their bond of friendship deepens, the 40-year-old mother begins to feel whole again.
See it. โTullyโ feels raw, honest and authentic, bolstered by stellar work from leads Theron and Davis.

โOverboardโ โ Anna Faris, Eugenio Derbez, directed by Bob Fisher and Rob Greenberg
A reboot of the 1987 comedy โOverboard,โ Bob Fisher and Rob Greenbergโs rom-com centers around the story of single mother Kate Sullivan (Anna Faris), and Mexican oligarch Leonardo Montenegro (Eugenio Derbez), whose disparate lives cross when Kate gets hired to clean the rich playboyโs yacht.
Sometime later, after Leonardo unjustly fires Kate without pay due to a slight misunderstanding, the tycoon accidentally falls overboard and wakes up on the Oregon coast with an amnesia.
Out for revenge, Kate shows up at the hospital claiming she is Leonardoโs wife, setting in motion a series of events that will change their lives forever.
Skip it. The screenplay is uneven, further weakened by a sparkless on-screen chemistry between Faris and Derbez.

โBad Samaritanโ โ Robert Sheehan, David Tennant, directed by Dean Devlin
Dean Devlinโs horror film tells the story of a restaurant valet named Sean Falco (Robert Sheehan) who has concocted a clever scam: While the customers dine, he drives to their houses, steals a few valuables and returns their cars with a beguiling smile. But on one fateful night, his seemingly perfect scheme goes awry when he burglarizes Cale Erendreichโs (David Tennant) house, and discovers a woman being held captive.
What Sean does with this information is the movieโs crux of the question.
Skip it. Disappointingly, the screenplay has too many plot holes to decipher.
