Pedicab System May Come to Central Hollywood

Curbed L.A. shares how the service would work in the neighborhood.

As the Los Angeles Department of Transportation looks into the feasibility of a pedicab service in Hollywood, Curbed L.A. shares how the program may work.

Their report is based on a story in the L.A. Business Journal (subscription required) that would run "on streets from Hollywood & Highland east on Hollywood Boulevard, turn south for one block on Vine, west on Selma Avenue, and then back up Highland Avenue or Orange Street."

One operator suggests that fares could be $5 to $10, but the program and a contractor has yet to be approved. Curbed reports the Hollywood Business Improvement District and the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce are in support of the system.
