HOLLYWOOD, CA — Lady Gaga's dog walker has released his first statement since last week's brazen armed robbery, in which he was shot by two men who stole Koji and Gustav, two of the superstar's French bulldogs. Ryan Fischer, 39, detailed his harrowing near-death experience and the painful moments of laying on the sidewalk in a pool of his own blood.

"Four days ago, while a car sped away and blood poured from my gunshot wound, an angel trotted over and laid next to me," Fischer wrote. "My panicked screams calmed as I looked at her, even though it registered that the blood pooling around her tiny body was my own."

Fischer was talking about Asia, the third bulldog who ran away during the attack and returned to comfort him. Calling her his "guardian angel," he took solace in the fact that she had survived the attack,

"I cradled Asia as best I could, thanked her for all the incredible adventures we’d been on together, apologized that I couldn’t defend her brothers, and then resolved that I would still try to save them… and myself," he said.

"Hopeful that my calm(ish) and forceful pleas for the urgency of my care as well as the focused descriptions of the dogs would be enough to help me and get enough police and media attention to find the boys, I looked backed at my guardian angel. I smiled at her shaking form, thankful that at least she would be okay."

Fischer remains in the hospital, but is expected to make a full recovery. While reclining in bed, Fischer thanked the first responders and health care workers nursing him back to full health, friends and family for their encouragement, and Lady Gaga and her team for their support.

"To Elisha, my family at Haüs and Lady Gaga: your babies are back and the family is whole… we did it!" he wrote. "You have shown so much support throughout this whole crisis to both me and my family. But your support as a friend, despite your own traumatic loss from your kids, was unwavering. I love you and thank you."

Police announced Friday that the singer's stolen bulldogs were safely reunited with Lady Gaga's representatives Friday night. LAPD said a woman who said she found the dogs contacted the pop star's staff, and later brought them to the department's Olympic Station where their identity was verified.

The department said it would keep confidential the location where the dogs were found and the woman's name, "due to the active criminal investigation and for her safety." The dogs appeared to be unharmed, according to LAPD Detective Dara Brown.

The robbery suspects remain at large, and police have asked anyone with information to send tips to safelatips@lapd.online. Anyone with information was asked to call Detectives Marsden or Brown at 213-486-6840.
