The 6-inch water main ruptured about 4 p.m. Monday, ripping a hole in the intersection, closing the crossroads and flooding the immediate area.
After replacing a broken section, the line was repressurized and broke in another spot, according to the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power.

The second leak was repaired, but a third leak was reported in the area early this afternoon.
Martin Adams, assistant senior general manager of the DWP, said the “integrity” of the 1920s-vintage line “continues to be in question.”
