Shooting At Grocery Store Leaves 1 Wounded, Suspect At Large: LAPD

A shooting at a grocery store in Hollywood Friday afternoon left at least one person wounded, police said.

HOLLYWOOD, CA — A woman suspected of shooting a man at a grocery store in Hollywood remained at large after she left the scene Friday afternoon, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

Police were called to the Pavilions near Vine Street and Melrose Avenue at around 3:30 p.m. after a report that a 26-year-old man had been shot by a woman. The suspect fled the scene in a white Mercedes driven by a man, an LAPD spokesman told Patch.

The man was transported to a hospital for treatment of a gunshot wound in an unknown location. There was no information about his condition.

The incident remains under investigation, police said.

CBS Los Angeles reported that the shooting came after the victim and two other people got into an altercation at the store.
