SNL's Kenan Thompson To Host 2022 Emmy Awards
"Like all TV fans, I can't wait to see the stars from my favorite shows," said the comedian, who starred in "All That" & "Kenan and Kel."

HOLLYWOOD, CA — Longtime "Saturday Night Live" cast member Kenan Thompson was announced Tuesday as the host of the 74th Emmy Awards.
"Being a part of this incredible evening where we honor the best of the television community is ridiculously exciting, and to do it on NBC — my longtime network family — makes it even more special," Thompson said in a statement released by the network and the Television Academy. "Like all TV fans, I can't wait to see the stars from my favorite shows."
The Emmy Awards will be held Sept. 12 at the Microsoft Theater in downtown Los Angeles.

Thompson is entering his 20th season as an "SNL" cast member, making him the longest-running series regular. He is a six-time Emmy nominee, earning nods last year for supporting actor for his work on "SNL" and for lead actor in a comedy for his sitcom "Kenan."
He began his television career on Nickelodeon, in the series "All That," but then appeared with Kel Mitchell in "Kenan and Kel."

Thompson will receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Thursday.
