Top 10 Celebrity-Owned Businesses Rake In The Revenue: Study

HOLLYWOOD, CA — Some of America's biggest stars have struck gold in California with second careers as entrepreneurs, founding brands that now rake in hundreds of millions each year.

Researchers at Arka recently crunched the numbers to determine the top ten celebrity-owned businesses, taking into account each company's annual revenue and search engine popularity.

Sitting comfortably atop of the list — with twice the estimated revenue as the next company — is Beats by Dre, the consumer audio company founded by Dr. Dre in 2006 and headquartered in Culver City. According to Arka's data, Beats by Dre pulls in an eye-popping $1.5 billion in annual revenue, with 3.8 million search engine hits.

Los Angeles-based shapewear and clothing powerhouse Skims, founded by Kim Kardashian in 2019, comes in at number two on the list with $750 million in annual revenue and 4.2 million search engine hits.

Rounding out the top three is Rare Beauty, an El Segundo-based cosmetics company founded by Selena Comez in 2020. In just four years, the company's revenue has soared to $600 million, with more than 3.3 search engine hits, Akra found.
