25-Year-Old Killed In OC Crash: Police

A North Dakota man died after a motorcycle and an SUV collided, according to police.

HUNTINGTON BEACH, CA — A 25-year-old man from North Dakota was killed in a motorcycle crash this week in Huntington Beach, according to police.

The incident occurred around 3:30 p.m. Monday at Talbert Avenue and Brookshire Lane, where a Toyota Highlander and a Honda motorcycle collided, police said.

Officers arrived to find the motorcyclist unconscious in the road, according to police, who said he was taken to a hospital but succumbed to his injuries.

The Toyota was traveling south on Brookshire Lane and turned left onto Talbert Avenue, police said, while the Honda was going west on Talbert Avenue and entered the intersection, where the vehicles collided. The driver of the Toyota — a 42-year-old woman from Bellflower — was not hurt and cooperated with authorities, according to police, who said impairment did not appear to be a factor in the crash, although it is unknown if the motorcyclist was impaired.
