  1. Update on the 5-Points Plaza Annual "Coats for Kids" Event: Last Friday was a success! Booths were set up, the manager of the mall was cooking hot dogs to thank donors, and Guitarist Megan Brown provided the entertainment. Thank you to all who donated! (HB News)
  2. A man walks into an apartment near Ellis Avenue and Beach Boulevard. Except, on Wednesday, it didn’t end in a joke. A 26-year-old was charged with walking into a woman’s apartment on Monday and exposing himself. He’s had a prior conviction for indecent exposure. His charge now reads, “one count each of burglary and indecent exposure with a prior conviction, both felonies, as well as misdemeanor counts of battery and resisting arrest.” The arraignment is scheduled for December 17.   3. Are you curious about St. Nicholas? Have you heard about the custom of leaving your shoes in front of your door in the evening before St. Nick’s Day? Find out what it’s all about by visiting St. Mary’s by the Sea Church at 321 10th Street. Come this Sunday, and stick around after any one of the Sunday masses. (OC Catholic)
  4. The former Mayor of HB, Cathy Green, has a new job. On Wednesday, she was elected Vice President of the Association of California Water Agencies (ACWA), the nation’s largest statewide coalition of public water agencies. “Cathy’s hard work, decades of policy experience and platform of creating abundant water supply for California” were some reasons why she was picked, according to OCWD President Steve Sheldon.   5. As predicted, COVID numbers are inching up. Wednesday’s reports noted that the OC’s number of hospitalized patients went up from 181 to 196. ICU patient counts went from 43 to 52. The county recorded 222 new infections. (My News LA)
