  1. The federal government announced Wednesday that it would offer disaster loans to businesses affected by the oil spill. By declaring the event an economic injury disaster, it made “loans available for small businesses and agricultural cooperatives and private, non-profit organizations.” There’s an application deadline of July 27, 2022. (Fox)
  2. The FBI arrested Kim Michael Sorgente on Monday for “involvement in the Capitol Riots that occurred on January 6 of this year.” They charged him with “obstruction of law enforcement during a civil disorder, knowingly entering a restricted building without legal authority and disorderly and disruptive conduct in a restricted building.” Some suggest he could face 15 years for these charges. He was released and ordered to appear on November 4 in federal court. (CBS)
  3. Second District OC Supervisor Katrina Foley went on record regarding the FBI’s arrest of “Huntington Beach resident Kim Michael Sorgente on suspicion of involvement in the riots that took place at the United States Capitol on January 6, 2021.” Issuing a press release Wednesday, Foley refers to Sorgente as “a dangerous individual who has been a leader in the anti-mask and anti-vaccine movement since the beginning of the pandemic.” She ends her release by encouraging other officials and “community leaders to denounce this type of behavior.” (OC Gov)
  4. If you need help with groceries, come to Edison High School on November 6. Located at 21400 Magnolia Street, there will be FREE groceries. The event runs in the morning from 9 to 11. (@PSSOC)
