High School Teen Brothers Die In Huntington Beach Crash: Reports

HUNTINGTON BEACH, CA — Two teen brothers died in a crash this week in Huntington Beach, according to reports.

Jeremy and Joshua Page, ages 17 and 18, respectively, were heading to school around 8:15 a.m. Monday when a truck they were in collided with a city vehicle, KABC-TV reported.

The crash happened at the intersection of Newland Street and Yorktown Avenue, Huntington Beach police tweeted. The roads were closed for hours.

Police found a white 1990 Ford F-250and a white 2018 Chevrolet Silverado, Jennifer Carey, the city’s public affairs manager, told the Los Angeles Times.

Joshua died Monday, the TV station reported. Officials told KABC on Tuesday Jeremy also died of his injuries. Both attended Edison High School.

A vigil was held at the school on Monday evening.

A 38-year-old man who drove the other vehicle was not hurt.

"I am so sorry to hear about the tragic traffic collision that took place this morning," Barbara Delgleize, mayor of Huntington Beach, said in a statement. "On behalf of myself and the City Council, we wish to extend our sincerest condolences to the families impacted by this terrible accident."

A GoFundMe page created to help the family bury the teens had raised more than $76,000 as of Tuesday morning.

The post said Josh was a senior and Jeremy was a sophomore.

"As you can imagine, the Page family has had their entire world flipped turned upside down. John and Shaya Page lost their two youngest sons and Jovanni lost his two younger brothers and his best friends," the post said.

The Page family was heavily involved in sports and athletics at Edison High School.

"We are trying to raise funds to help cover the cost of funeral expenses for the Page family and other expenses that may need to be covered. Please donate whatever you can, every little bit will help this family who is no doubt shaken to its core," the GoFundMepost said.

"Rest In Peace Josh and Jeremy Page," the post added. "We Love You. Go Chargers For Life!!!!"

Jeremy Page played defensive tackle for the high school's varsity football team, wearing No. 57, according to MaxPreps. Josh played guard and defensive tackle for the team, wearing No. 56.
