  1. The Office of Spill Prevention (OSPR) received reports of what is likely oil in federal waters. There is a suspicious sheen that is “several miles offshore of Huntington Beach.” At this point, the OSPR doesn’t know “source, volume, and oil type.” (@CalSpillWatch)
  2. Buzz Patterson, who ran and lost in California’s 7th Congressional District election in 2020, is at the Airshow. Yes, he’s having a good time. Oh, and he’d like you to know that there’s “not a mask in sight.” (@BuzzPatterson)
  3. You might expect to see coyotes in the Bolsa Chica Wetlands. However, a local resident saw one on her roof. When calling OC Animal Control, she was told, “There’s nothing to be done about coyotes. Just keep your pets safe.” Should you decide to haze a visiting coyote, the City suggests using air horns, pepper spray, and yelling. (OC Register, Coyote Hazing Guidelines)
