  1. Santa’s Airstream arrived at Pacific City (across from the HB Pier) on Friday. "At Pacific City, we've really embraced the fact that we have a one-of-a-kind iconic Southern California location, and we've worked that SoCal feeling into all of the center’s holiday décor, including our very creative Santa set," said the shopping center’s marketing director. If you’re thinking of buying one of the photo package options, reserve your spot ahead of time! (NBC)
  2. A shout-out to Brody Price from Santa Cruz, who won the Open Mini Groms final on Tuesday. “The National Scholastic Surfing Association National Championships in 2- to 4-foot waves at Huntington Beach Pier” were won with a 14.44 score. Congrats to the 12-year-old national champion! (Santa Cruz Sentinel)
  3. When you’re heading to Jack’s Surfboards downtown, you will see artwork by Jason Maloney. The artist finished a public mural project on the exterior walls of the retailer’s store. If you love what you’re seeing, the artist said Thursday he will be “releasing a full color, limited edition, signed & numbered book along with t-shirts of the entire mural project just in time for the holidays.” (jasonmaloneyart)
  4. The World Championships of Beach Ultimate are scheduled to take place April 2 to 9 next year in HB. On Tuesday, we learned that 200 prospective players are trying to join Team USA. One group traveled to HB to try out. Another group went to St. John’s, Florida. “The coaching staff is still working and will communicate team selection choices with the athletes as soon as possible.” (Ultiworld)
