  1. Shout-out to Huong Pham, the owner of Good Vibes. The restaurant has provided wildlife rescue workers with free vegan meals. “Pham said they initially wanted to get hands-on with the animals and help the wildlife rescue team. But at that time, volunteers were not being called.” So, the restaurant did the next best thing. (ABC)
  2. After being photographed “standing near several people described by critics as antifa members,” a woman was removed from the HB Citizen Participation Advisory Board. She sued. Now, a federal judge dismissed the suit saying that her protest participation was constitutionally protected, and officials had the legal right to remove her from the Board. (OC Register – Pay Wall)
  3. COVID-19 infections in the OC are going down! As of Monday, the rate sat at seven per 100,000 residents, which translates to a 2.7% test positivity rate. “In September, 45% of those who died were younger than 65, and 97% were unvaccinated.” Officials urge residents to get flu and COVID vaccinations. (My News LA)
  4. The California Department of Justice is now investigating the oil spill. The CA Attorney General noted that his “office is committed to devoting the people and the resources necessary to ensure this environmental disaster is fully investigated, and we will follow the facts wherever they lead us." So far, the AG has not revealed if the investigation is civil or criminal. (Fox News)
