3 People, 2 Dogs Killed In Solo Chula Vista Car Crash

The crash occurred Saturday after a car hit a tree in Chula Vista, killing three people and sending one person to the hospital.

CHULA VISTA, CA — Three people and two dogs died and another person was critically injured when a car slammed into a tree in Chula Vista Saturday.

The westbound car crashed in the 500 block of East H Street was reported shortly before 4 p.m., according to Fox 5 News.

One person died at the scene and three other people were transported to a hospital, where two later died, Chula Vista police Lt. Matt Smith told the station. The names of the deceased were withheld pending notification of their next of kin.

Two dogs inside the car also died in the crash, the station reported.
