Musicians Sing, Dance Fandango Between Border Fences
Musicians from both sides of the border congregated at Friendship Park in Imperial Beach last weekend to play music and dance together for Fandango Fronterizo.

Musicians from San Diego and Tijuana converged on both sides of the U.S-Mexico border May 25 to play music and dance for the 6th Annual Fandango Fronterizo.
"The border fandango is a symbolic event. We're trying to show how music can build community even when communities are separated," said Adrian Florido, a Fronteras Desk reporter who narrated part of a video for a Kickstarter campaign to raise money for the event. "Son jaracho is the perfect music for that because it's all about being together with friends."Â
