H&R Block on Palm Ave. Named Best Place for Last-Minute Tax Preparation

With 2,200 clients this season—and a goal of 2,500—the local H&R Block has kept its 20 seasonal tax preparers busy. 

But the office at 1313 Palm Avenue might take a moment to celebrate their latest accomplishment—being named the Best Place for Last-Minute Taxes in our Readers’ Choice local poll.

Nicole Has-Ellison, the office receptionist, said the business has been in Imperial Beach eight or nine years and acquired a reputation for customer service.

And while most customers are from nearby, one drives four hours to see a prized tax preparer at the Imperial Beach office, she said.
