In-N-Out Burger Considers Imperial Beach-Area Location

In-N-Out Burger could come to the Imperial Beach area, the company's Vice President of Planning and Development Carl Van Fleet told IB Patch Tuesday.

Van Fleet declined to specify where the company is considering a new location.

"I can say that we are looking at potential sites in the Imperial Beach-area but it is too early in the process to get much more specific than that," he said via email. "We are certainly interested in the area and would like to have a restaurant there in the future."

In-N-Out has 12 locations in San Diego County including two nearby in Chula Vista and National City.

Several Imperial Beach residents thought In-N-Out was coming to IB after a Burger King in the 1100 block of Palm Avenue closed in 2011. In February 2012 Van Fleet told IB Patch the company had no plans to open a new location in Imperial Beach.

Earlier this month the owner of the property said a new Burger King is slated to open later this year.
