'So You Think You Can Dance' Group Say Goodbye With Gangnam Style
Mary Murphy's 'So You Think You Can Dance' Show Group performed at a South Bay Union School District Board of Trustees meeting Thursday.

The So You Think You Can Dance Show Group danced toΒ Psy's "Gangnam Style" and "All That Jazz" from the movieΒ ChicagoΒ in a performance in Burress Auditorium ThursdayΒ held at the final board meeting forΒ superintendent Carol Parish who will retire June 30Β after nine years with the district.
The 7th Annual Chance to Dance showcase was held at Mar Vista High School June 5. Hundreds of South Bay Union School District students attended and performed.Β
So You Think You Can DanceΒ is now in itsΒ 10th season on FOX.
Top SBUSD talent take part in the Show Group and practice weekly at Mary Murphy'sΒ Champion Ballroom Academy in Hillcrest.
"Boys and girls what you don't know is I started out as an educator 40 years ago, when your grandparents were young," Parish told the dance group who gave her flowers after their performance.
Now, she said, there will be more time to "hang out at the beach."
After the performance Parish recognizedΒ Imperial Beach Charter School Principal Pamela Reichert-Montiel, Katy Roberson and Melissa Griffith for their role in bringing danceΒ to the district and for their support of the arts.
