Stabbing, Multiple Battery Incidents Reported in Sheriff's Blotter

The San Diego County Sheriff’s Department Imperial Beach substation reported the following arrests and crimes from July 2-8. If you see a crime, please report it to the Sheriff's Department.

July 8

6:58 a.m., 48-year-old man arrested for the use and being under the influence of controlled substances near the corner of Carnation Avenue and Ocean Lane

11:39 p.m., 34-year-old man arrested for the use and being under the influence of controlled substances on Palm Avenue

July 7

1:33 a.m., petty theft from vehicle reported in the 200 block of Evergreen Avenue. Audio equipment and other items reported stolen worth an estimated $340

11:16 p.m., battery with serious bodily injury reported near the corner of Ebony Avenue and Emory Street

July 6

12:11 a.m., 19-year-old man and minor arrested for vandalism at Bibbey's Shell Shop in the 900 block of Seacoast Drive. The two are accused of causing an estimated $600 in damage to a commercial building

3:53 a.m., commercial burglary reported at Romantix in the 1100 block of Palm Avenue

July 5

12:45 a.m., 41-year-old man arrested for being drunk in public in the 600 block of Palm Avenue

1:07 a.m., battery with serious bodily injury reported in the 100 block of Palm Avenue. Victim suffered severe laceration 

4:11 a.m., simple battery reported in the 900 block of Seacoast Drive

4:35 a.m., assault with deadly weapon, assault with firearm reported in the 1000 block of 10th Street

8:58 a.m., 30-year-old man arrested for being drunk in public in the 1400 block of Connecticut Street

10:22 a.m., vehicle vandalism reported in the 500 block of Grove Avenue

12:54 p.m., vehicle vandalism reported in the 1100 block of 12th Street

5:35 p.m., 62-year-old man arrested for being drunk in public in the 600 block of Silver Strand Boulevard 

6:35 p.m., vehicle theft reported in the 1300 block of Hemlock Avenue. Vehicle reported stolen worth an estimated $5,000

July 4

2:30 a.m., 53-year-old man arrested for driving while license suspended or revoked in the 1300 block of Donax Avenue

3:06 p.m., vehicle theft reported on Evergreen Avenue. Kawasaki KLR 650 motorcycle reported stolen worth an estimated $7,100

5 p.m., 33-year-old man arrested for being drunk in public on Donax Avenue

July 3

11:15 a.m., license plate reported stolen in the 200 block of Elkwood Avenue

7:09 a.m., residential burglary reported in the 500 block of 7th Street. Miscellaneous clothing reported stolen worth an estimated $200

1:07 p.m., grand theft and obtaining money under false pretenses reported in the 900 block of Georgia Street. Money orders reported stolen worth an estimated $6,500

1:15 p.m., 33-year-old man arrested for possession of controlled substances, obstruction or resisting arrest and attempting to escape after arrest in the 800 block of Imperial Beach Boulevard

10:15 p.m., 34-year-old man arrested for being drunk in public in the 100 block of Ebony Avenue

11:35 p.m., 28-year-old man arrested for possession of controlled substances and parole violation on Emory Street

2:38 p.m., grand theft, stolen copper materials stolen from Central Elementary School in the 1200 block of Ebony Avenue. $5,846 reported stolen 

4:20 p.m., battery with serious bodily injury reported in the 1400 block of Connecticut Street. Victim suffered apparent broken bones

June 30

2:30 p.m., 19-year-old man arrested for carrying a concealed dirk or dagger in the 700 block of Seacoast Drive

2:41 p.m., residential burglary reported in the 1200 block of Florida Street. Computer, jewelry and other items reported stolen worth an estimated $1,820

3:45 p.m., 26-year-old woman arrested for being drunk in public in the 100 block of Palm Avenue

12:45 a.m., 35-year-old man arrested for driving under the influence and operating a motor vehicle with 0.01 percent or more blood alcohol level while on probation for DUI near the corner of Palm Avenue and 2nd Street
