Suspected Driver on Drugs Totals Car, Flips Truck Near The Scoreboard
A suspected drunk driver hit two cars near the 900 block of Palm Avenue Wednesday outside The Scoreboard, knocking one into the center divide and the other on the sidewalk.
A driver possibly under the influence of drugs slammed into two cars parked near The Scoreboard Sports Grill and Imperial Beach Health Center Wednesday night, according San Diego County Sheriff's Department Sgt. Joel Stranger.
Around 10:15 p.m. the driver traveling northbound in the 700 block of Emory Street smashed into the back of one car, knocking the car in front of it into the center divide in the 900 block of Palm Avenue and flipping the driver's vehicle on its side, Stranger said.
The driver was transported to UC San Diego Medical Center. The nature of his injuries are unknown, Stranger said.
