A 15-year-old boy was hit by a car on 13th Street Wednesday evening, according to Sgt. William Uelan with the San Diego County Sheriff's Department Imperial Beach substation.
The teen was hit while standing near KC's Express Chinese Food near the corner of 13th Street and Imperial Beach Boulevard shortly after 8:30 p.m. but escaped with "minor scrapes," Uelan said.
The driver originally left the scene but returned five minutes later. No charges have been filed, Uelan said.
