Memorial Fund Established for 4-Year-Old Imperial Beach Boy Killed in Accident
Valentino Fabiani died Tuesday, according to his family. Valentino died after his father allegedly abandoned him after a June 2 car accident near Interstate 5.

The family ofΒ Valentino Fabiani, a four-year-old from Imperial BeachΒ who died after being injured in aΒ June 2Β car accident near Old Town, has requested thatΒ that those who wish to remember him donate to theΒ Valentino Fabiani Memorial Fund at Chase Bank.Β

ValentinoΒ was killed allegedly when his father left his sideΒ after the car accident.Β
Witnesses said after his Nisan Titan truckΒ that was traveling southbound on Interstate 5Β crashed into a guardrail andΒ fell down an embankment,Β Angelo Fabiani Arroyo fled the scene.Β
At some point after the crashΒ witnesses said AngeloΒ released his son fromΒ his seat and he fellΒ 10 feet to the sidewalk below. Passersby looked after him until emergency services arrived.Β Valentino was subsequently taken to Rady Children's Hospital to be treated forΒ severe head injuries.
Family friendΒ Martha TollesΒ said Angelo wentΒ "crazy, crazy"Β and ran all the way to Imperial Beach, arriving with blisters on his feet.
Captured two days later in IB, AngeloΒ pleaded not guilty to the crimeΒ at his arraignment last week.Β Officials have said Angelo, 40, has a previousΒ drunk driving conviction.
Angelo Fabiani Arroyo is next due in court June 17.Β His bail is set at $150,000.
