3 La Canada Girls Among Tournament Of Roses Royal Court Finalists
Three local young girls are among 25 finalists to become members of the 2020 Tournament of Roses Royal Court.
LA CANADA FLINTRIDGE, CA — Three La Canada Flintridge young ladies were among 25 who were introduced Tuesday as finalists to become members of the 2020 Tournament of Roses Royal Court, which will take part in a host of events leading up to the Rose Parade and Rose Bowl Game.
The local finalists are: Siena Dancsecs, from La Canada High School; Emilie Risha, from Flintridge Sacred Heart Academy; and Carly Witteman, from La Canada High School.
From the 25 finalists, seven will be chosen on Sept. 30 to join the Royal Court. One of those seven will then be named the Rose Queen.

Members of the Royal Court are chosen based on criteria including public speaking ability, academic achievement, youth leadership, and community and school involvement. Each member of the court receives a $7,500 educational scholarship.
