Local Teams Move onto Regional and State Playoffs

Flintridge Sacred Heart, La Cañada, Flintridge Prep and Muir all begin new playoff runs this week.

Fresh off its , the Flintridge Sacred Heart girls soccer team now turns its attention to the CIF Division III Regional Championships.

The Tologs, who won last year's D-III crown, host eighth-seeded Horizon Christian Academy in Tuesday's first round at 4 p.m. The game will be played at Occidental College.

The CIF State Boys Basketball Championships brackets were also announced Sunday. La Cañada, which , is the No. 1 seed in the Division III tournament. The Spartans earned a first round bye and will host either Hoover (Fresno) or Crespi (Encino) on Thursday at 7 p.m.

got the No. 2 seed in the Division V bracket. The Rebels host Tranquillity on Tuesday at 7 p.m.

Muir, which lost to Flintridge Prep in Saturday's divisional final, plays at LACES (Los Angeles) on Tuesday in the first round of the Division IV playoffs. Tipoff is set for 7:30 p.m.
