Outdoor Smoking Restrictions Taking Effect Around La Cañada This Week
An updated city ordinance includes a ban on smoking at outdoor dining areas.
If you enjoy lighting up a cigarette of the local restaurants in La Cañada Flintridge that allow smoking on their patios, such as George's Pizza or Taylor' Steak House, you have precious few days left to do so. If you detest having to smell smoke while dining at an outdoor patio in LCF, you only have to endure it a few days longer.
On Thursday, new smoking restrictions all around LCF that were recently passed by the city council go into effect.
The restrictions have been put in place as an update to the city’s municipal code related to smoking in public areas. The new restrictions include a ban on smoking at the following locations:
- Common areas of shopping centers (with an allowance for designated smoking areas
Outdoor dining areas
- Public events
- City-owned and city-controlled properties, including city parks and trails
