We all had teachers who made a difference in our lives, and recognizing those teachers becomes especially important as budget cuts make their jobs even harder.
One week isn't enough time to show appreciation for the people who educate our children, but at least it's a start.
This week marks "Teacher Appreciation Week," and it couldn't come at a better time. With all the bad news coming out of school districts these days--the spending cuts, the layoffs, the bleak future of school budgets--this week marks a perfect time to step back and thank those that have helped you and helped your children grow and succeed.
