Beloved Laguna Beach Restaurant To Close Permanently

The '20s-inspired restaurant is known for its inspiring ambiance and changing menu of traditional fare since its opening in 1977.

LAGUNA BEACH, CA — A Laguna Beach favorite is shutting its doors for good.

Dizz's As Is, a '20s-inspired restaurant known for its inspiring ambiance and changing menu of traditional fare, announced its plans to close on Instagram Thursday.

"It's been 48 years since Dizz's As Is opened in 1977," the restaurant posted on Instagram. "There have been great times and tough times. Since COVID we have had the toughest time ever and I'm sad to say we have put the building up for lease."

The restaurant will remain open Wednesday through Saturday from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. until the building is leased, owners said.

"Thank you Laguna Beach and surrounding communities for a great run. We will truly miss all our great friends and neighbors," the statement read.
