Dog Found Dead After Fire At Laguna Woods Home

Residents were evacuated but a dog found inside the house did not survive, according to authorities.

LAGUNA WOODS, CA — A dog was found dead after a house fire early Monday in Laguna Woods, according to emergency personnel.

Firefighters responded shortly after 1 a.m. to the 5100 block of Brazo, where they found smoke showing from a single-story home, the Orange County Fire Authority said in a social media post that included a video of the heavy smoke and flames.

Residents were evacuated but a dog found inside the house did not survive, according to the authority, which said the cause of the fire was under investigation.
