Firefighters Knock Down Blaze In Laguna Canyon, Rescue Family Dog
Firefighters were able to extinguish the flames in about two hours.
LAGUNA BEACH, CA — Crews knocked down a house fire in the Laguna Beach area Sunday and rescued a family dog from inside the burning home, authorities announced.
The Laguna Beach Fire Department received reports of a structure fire at 17 Castle Rock Road in Laguna Canyon at about 6:30 a.m. Sunday. All occupants had safely evacuated when the first responders arrived at the scene, but the family dog was still inside and had to be rescued, authorities said.
Firefighters were able to extinguish the flames in about two hours.

A neighboring home also sustained damage from the fire, according to the LBFD.
The cause of the fire was under investigation.
