A rundown of calls that came into the O.C. Sheriff’s Department August 26-27. Incidents reported from Dana Point are noted as such. Other incidents were reported in Laguna Niguel.
Monday
- Welfare Check. 6:09 a.m. 29300 block of Clipper Way. An elderly caller stated that she was being held against her will and said everything was taken from her.
- Suspicious Person/Circumstances. 9:52 p.m. Seaspray West/Seaglen. A caller reported that a man was at the pool yelling about stockpiling explosives in his upper floor apartment. He stated that at midnight he was going to kill the entire Laguna Niguel police department.
- Suspicious Person/Circumstances. 11:28 p.m. 28100 block of Montecito. A caller reported that a man was walking around looking at cars and walking up to condo doors.
- Petty Theft Report. 12:33 p.m. unknown block of Seaspray East. A caller reported that someone stole meds from her locked car.
- Assist Outside Agency. 4:30 p.m. 29800 block of Farmingham Court. A caller reported that his neighbor’s gas canister for the BBQ exploded. The Orange County Fire Authority was enroute.
The calls represent what was told to the deputy in the field by the radio dispatcher. The true nature of an incident often differs from what is initially reported. No assumption of criminal guilt or affiliation should be drawn from the content of the information provided.
