'Never Forget' Ale: Orange County Firefighters Can Beer For A Cause
The "Never Forget Pale Ale" is being dedicated in memory of firefighter Rob Culp, who died of cancer last year, officials said.
SAN CLEMENTE, CA —When shopping for beer, consider popping a top for a good cause in the coming months. Orange County firefighters canned and packaged "Never Forget Pale Ale," a specialty beer created by a unique San Clemente brewing company to raise funds for families of fallen firefighters.
The "Never Forget Pale Ale" is being dedicated in memory of firefighter Rob Culp, who died of cancer last year, officials said.
Friday was beer canning day for the members of the Orange County Professional Firefighters Association Local 3631 will visit ROM Beer Co. in San Clemente for the canning day of the "Never Forget Pale Ale." According to ROM Beer Co, firefighters helped brew the ale earlier in December.

"The firefighters will help can, label, and package the beer, which will be released as a fundraising effort on Jan. 4 to benefit the Fallen Firefighters Relief Fund in honor of January as Firefighter Cancer Awareness Month," a spokesperson for the event said.
According to the union, cancer is the leading cause of line-of-duty deaths in the fire service, "accounting for nearly 75% of line-of-duty deaths annually."

The "Never Forget Pale Ale" is being dedicated in memory of firefighter Rob Culp, who died of cancer last year, officials said.
"Thanks to ROM Beer Co., 100 percent of the proceeds from the sale of the Never Forget Pale Ale will benefit the families of firefighters who have died in the line of duty serving the residents of Orange County," according to the union, which represents more than 1,100 firefighters in the county.
