Police Calls: Neighbor Threatens to Cut Off Man's Hands

One resident reported being robbed by a moving company.

A rundown of calls that came into the O.C. Sheriff’s Department August 20-21. Incidents reported from Dana Point are noted as such. Other incidents were reported in Laguna Niguel.


Tuesday

  • Suspicious Person/Circumstances. 6:07 a.m. 24400 block of Malaga Way. A caller reported that he woke up to someone in his residence. He thought he saw someone peek around the corner but he was unable to give a description.
  • Citizen Assist. 9:06 a.m. Jaquita Place/Manor Hill. A caller reported that a homeowner near him made threats to cut off his hands hands and said no one would be able to find his body.
Wednesday
  • Petty Theft Report. 8:05 p.m. 25500 block of Camino Los Padres. A caller reported that his wife left her purse in the car while she got the mail, and when she returned, it was gone. She believed a woman in her 20s took it. The thief was wearing a printed blue shirt and jeans and was sitting on the bench on Los Padres, the caller said.
  • Suspicious Person/Circumstances. 12:13 p.m. 29100 block of Abotsinch Street. A caller reported that a man came to his door and asked him for a ride to the taco shop down the street. He had black hair and was wearing a tan shirt and tan pants.
  • Disturbance. 10:51 p.m. 30300 block of Via Venida. A caller reported that movers took his belongings and left, because there was a disagreement over payment. The movers left in a black truck towards Crown Valley.
